Adolescent Reproductive Health Education
This course is designed to equip senior high school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. It will address a wide range of topics in a factual and age-appropriate manner, fostering a safe space for open discussion and exploration. It also prepares them for the WASSCE.
Through this course, students will gain knowledge about:
The human body and reproductive system development
Healthy relationships and communication
Puberty and its physical and emotional changes
Sexual and reproductive health risks and how to prevent them (STIs, HIV/AIDS, unintended pregnancy)
Contraception methods and family planning
Body image and self-esteem
Gender identity and sexual orientation
Students will also develop essential life skills, such as:
