About Course

Course Description:

This course is designed to enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of English Literature. Through a diverse selection of literary works, including short stories, poems, and excerpts from novels, students will develop critical thinking, analytical, and creative skills.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Reading Comprehension & Analysis: Students will learn to read and analyze literary texts critically, identifying key themes, literary devices (figurative language, symbolism, imagery, etc.), character development, plot structure, and point of view.
  • Literary Appreciation: Students will cultivate an appreciation for different literary genres and styles, recognizing the power of language and its ability to convey emotions, ideas, and experiences.
  • Communication & Expression: Students will develop effective communication skills through oral and written exercises, including discussions, presentations, creative writing assignments (short stories, poems, essays), and literary critiques.
  • Vocabulary & Grammar: Students will expand their vocabulary and improve their grammatical accuracy through reading, writing, and targeted language exercises.
  • Cultural Awareness: Students will gain insights into diverse cultures and perspectives through the exploration of literature from various backgrounds.
